Now Or Never – A Band That Lives For The Moment

For many musicians, a band name signifies creativity, individuality, and paying homage to those who have inspired them; but for one band, it signifies the belief that the only thing in life you are promised is yesterday, and that you should live for the moment.

The name of this group is Now Or Never, and since 2008, they have proven success comes easily for those determined to make it happen.  Hailing from Pascagoula, Mississippi, this Alternative/Rock band got their start when friends Kris Jordan and Derek Graham got together with drummer Matt Wilkerson. Inspired by a mutual love for music and the desire to perform, Now Or Never was formed.  The three bandmates played together for a year and a half before mutual friend Ryan Doswell joined solidifying the group.

Their first performance took place at the noted Thunders Tavern located in Pascagoula, and since then, they have expanded their touring throughout the Gulf Coast in parts of Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama with multiple tours in the works.  Some of the band’s accomplishments over the last couple of years include:

  • Performing at the Covey Awards in January 2011 (Hard Rock Live).
  • Going to the finals in the 2010 Hard Rock Battle Of The Bands.
  • Winning Pick It or Flick It on 97.9 WCPR radio station as part of Nate’s 2011 Battle Of The Bands.
  • Currently having their first hit single “Never On My Side” played on 97.9 WCPR radio station.
  • Performing at the 19th Annual MS Coast Coliseum Crawfish Festival in April 2011.
  • Performing at both the 2010 and 2011 CPR Fest After Party.
  • Performing with numerous signed national acts including: Egypt Central, It’s Alive, 16 Second Stare, Candlelight Red, and others.
When discussing future endeavors, Now Or Never’s plans include touring often, recording new music, and continuing to spread their name. With the month of October approaching, the band has decided to share some exciting news (1) They are in the process of working one-on-one with different record labels, and (2) An album release is currently in the works with a release slated for a later date.  While fans wait patiently for the album’s arrival, they can enjoy a free promotional offer through the band’s official Facebook page, which is a download of their current hit single “Out Of Line”.  By the end of the year, fans should be on the lookout for new music as well as new merchandise.
